Day 15: Jodhpur - Jaisalmer
Breakfast will be provided at the hotel. You will check out and proceed to Jaisalmer.
In the morning you will proceed to Jaisalmer, the golden city of Rajasthan, situated in the center of the Thar Desert. It is a 6-hour drive from Jodhpur. When you reach, check in to a hotel. There is overnight stay at Jaisalmer.
Day 16: Jaisalmer
After having breakfast you will enjoy a daylong sightseeing tour of Jaisalmer. You will visit the 12th century magnificent fort at Jaisalmer (This is the highlight of the tour). You will visit the beautifully and magnificently carved Havelis of Salim Singh ki Haveli and Patwon ki Haveli and Gandhi Sagar Tank, followed by a visit to the Barabagh Hill. In the late afternoon you will take a camel safari in the astounding sand dunes up to the sunset point. You will return to a nearby village for dinner among Rajasthani musicians playing haunting tunes. You will stay overnight at the Swiss Tent Camp.
Jaisalmer: Rawal Jaisal, a descendent of the Yadav tribe and a Bhatti Rajput in 1156 AD on the Trikuta Hill, founded the city of Jaisalmer.
You will check in at a hotel when you arrive Jaisalmer
Overnight stay will be at Jaisalmer.
Day 16: Jaisalmer
Breakfast will be provided at the hotel. You will proceed for full day sightseeing tour of the city.
You will visit the Jaisalmer Fort, Patwaon-Ki-Haveli, Salim-Singh-Ki-Haveli, Gandhi Sagar Tank and Barabagh Hill.
In the afternoon, you will proceed for visiting the Rajasthani Desert Village and the view of the sunset from the dunes.
You will return to the village for dinner with addition of the Rajasthani folk music and dance for entertainment.
You will stay overnight at Jaisalmer.
Day 17: Jaisalmer
Breakfast will be provided at the hotel. You will spend the morning visiting the mansions in the town.
After the lunch, you will enjoy a short camel ride (optional) at sunset.
You will check in at your deluxe-tented camp in the desert. In the evening, you will enjoy the Rajasthani Cultural Program.
There is overnight stay in the camp.
Day 18: Jaisalmer - Bikaner
Breakfast will be at the camp. You will continue with the safari and reach Bikaner via Nagaur. Bikaner is nearly 330 km's from Jaisalmer. There you will check in at a hotel.
Bikaner - This is a royal city with an eternal charm. It lies in the north of Rajasthan; the city is flecked with sand dunes.
A Rathore Prince, Rao Bikaji, founded it in 1488; an heir of the founder of Jodhpur, Rao Jodhaji, Bikaner has a glorious past. Situated in the north of Rajasthan, the walled city of Bikaner is famous for its sky touching forts,camel safaris, citadels and the well-known camel festival. This desert city was one of the most important trade centers of west-central Asia due to its geographical location.
Relax in the evening. Overnight stay will be at Bikaner.
Day 19: Bikaner - Mandawa
Breakfast at hotel. Proceed for sightseeing tour of Bikaner.
Rao Bikaji, a descendant of Jodhaji - the founder of Jodhpur, founded this desert town in the North of the state in 1488. You will visit the Junagarh Fort, constructed between 1588 and 1593 by Raja Jai Singh, a general in the Moghul Emperor Akbar's army.
The city is also called the "Camel Country". You will visit the camel-breeding farm - the only one in Asia and the Karni Mata Temple.
From there you will proceed for Mandawa which is 180 km's from Bikaner.
Mandawa is medieval fort an out of this worldview of the town can be seen from the porch of Castle Mandawa. Valuable collection of arms with jade handles, traditional ceremonial costumes can be seen at the Museum at the Castle. The Havelies that are worth a visit include Chokhani, Saraf, Goenka and Ladia in this town. The Castle has 51 rooms in the hotel, has no two rooms alike. It also has an interesting collection of paintings, jade, costumes and antiques.
Reach and check in at the hotel. Overnight stay will be at Mandawa.
Day 20: Mandawa - Delhi
Breakfast will be provided at the hotel.
You will take a tour of the painted 'havelis' of some of the leading business families of the country. Chowkhani Haveli, Gulab Rai Ladia Haveli, Lakshminarayan Ladia Haveli, Mohahanlal Saraf Haveli and Bhagchandika Haveli are of special notice. You will spend the major part of the day looking into paintings.
You will also visit Mahensar and Dundlod meeting the local village chief. You leave for Delhi and Reach by evening.
Overnight stay will be at Delhi.
